Marc Chagall, vintage folded cards, Maeght Editeur 1959, box set of 20 (10 variations), excellent condition. Produced by Galerie Maeght, featuring the work of Marc Chagall.
The cards are printed on watercolor paper by A La Marque J. Perrigot, Arches Special MBM and are watermarked as such. Each card has an original envelope printed on paper from St. Marcel Les Annonay- Paperterie Montgolfier, also watermarked. Marcel Les Annonay- Paperterie Montgolfier is a famous paperterie that dates back to 1805 in the French town of St.
Both the cards and the envelopes are in excellent condition. These are unowned items from the residual inventory of a bookstore/gallery, which operated in Manhattan (NY, NY USA) from the 19402- 1970s.
