Keystone Stereoview Set of GOLF cir. 1929 Complete 50 cards with Box Tested Jones

  
For collector of antique Americana or a Golf Fan - the full set - Golf Vol 1- 50 Stereoview cards in the original box. Condition - 90+ years old, the cards are in very good condition with normal curvature, the box is in fair condition with age wear. I have Keystone Viewer Stereoscope (not included) that I used to check few cards. Interesting - I normally use reading glasses, but was able to use stereoscope viewer without them by using the built into viewer adjustment to extend the distance. Please do your own research. Stereo-views, or Stereo Cards, have two nearly identical images mounted side by side, on a slightly curved card. When looked at through a stereo viewer, they afford a three-dimensional image.

They measure 3 1/2" x 7". The were produced on nearly every subject, and were the rage from about 1860 to the 1930's.

Or a wonderful addition to a golf collection. Stereoviews (double image gelatin silver prints on thick cards), numbered 1 to 50. First 10 show Bobby Jones referring to him as the 1929 U. Open winner; next 4 of Horton Smith; 6 of Willie MacFarlane; 6 of Gene Sarazen; 5 of Johnny Farrell; 3 of Bobby Cruickshank; 3 of Leo Diegel; 2 of MacDonald Smith; 8 of Larry Nabholtz; 2 of Billy Burke; and final "Wrong Way to Finish a Stroke" golfer not identified.

Housed in original 2-part sliding slipcase with gilt-lettered morocco spine. First 10 view shows Bobby Jones addressing the ball at Winged Foot (at tee with wood and Mashie Pitch, and in sandtrap). Horton Smith is hitting the ball also at Winged Foot.

Verso of cards each with a different printed description unique to image (plus some player info) authored by Grantland Rice with his facsimile autograph. Keystone inventory number on each go from 32376 to 32461; this series is complete with 50 stereoviews. Please examine the high resolution pictures closely for condition. I don't see any obvious defects other than those I have highlighted, but there could be some I missed. Ask me if you need additional photos.
