Indian Silver Card Or Cigarette Case Box Set With Watercolour Of Courting Couple

  

This is an Indian silver cigarette case, the lid set with a glazed panel behind which is a watercolour of an Indian couple seated in a field by trees. The box is cast with regular decoration around the sides and bordering the painting, the underside left plain.

It is unmarked in typical fashion but has been fully tested to sterling grade silver. The box measures 8.5cm by 8.1cm, and is 1.8cm deep.
